I am not even sure where to begin with these two! Colton and I flew to Australia, Kath picked us up from the airport, and we stayed with her family at her parents house! It was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever had the pleasure of being apart of. What made the day so special was how relaxed and sincere the entire flow of the day went. I realized that weddings in Australia can be slightly different in the sense, that often times, the ceremony and the reception will be two separate invites. Kath & Alex’s wedding was like this! What I liked about it was that everyone in their lives that played a role big or small was able to come and witness their ceremony in the afternoon. Hours later in the evening, a closer knit group of friends and family would gather for the reception. The time in between the ceremony and reception allowed us to take photos, but also, it allowed Kath and Alex to spend time with their wedding party, picnic off the road and pop champagne! Many times the bridal party is there to do a job and doesn’t get a lot of time to hang out with their best friends on their wedding day. Kath and Alex had plenty of time to devote to them and I loved it!
Kath’s family was so sweet, accommodating, and so very generous to us while we were there and it was truly a blessing! We cannot wait to head back to Australia in 2018!
